Anime has come a long way in a few short decades. I remember a time when you couldn’t just turn on a TV and have the latest episode of your favorite anime available, you had to import VHS tapes or know someone who had imported the VHS tapes (If you’re too young to know what VHS is and you’re an anime fan, you don’t know how good you have it). AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative

First, we have the sequel to an incredible visual novel from Spike Chunsoft: AI: The Somnium Files. In its sequel, AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative, you will enjoy another deep, twisted visual novel experience with fantastic art and animation. The story follows a new set of characters, Mizuka and her AI companion Aiba, as they work to solve the mystery of the gruesome Half Body serial killings. Gameplay takes place in two parts: the investigation portion where you explore environments and look for clues, and the somnium portion where you solve puzzles using the clues you obtained previously. Like the first game, this one is being made by team ZeroEscape, who are responsible for the ZeroEscape visual novel series that is widely loved. Atelier Sophie 2

This is the sequel to their Project Nimbus, and features even more high-speed mech action. It takes place 21 years after the previous game with an all-new cast to grow to love, and features many stages and environments with special gimmicks that allow for extra strategic action. In a future, battle-ravaged Earth, the only way you can hope to even the odds is with your Battle Frame, huge mecha creations that you can customize with many different weapons depending on your playstyle, then pilot into battle. Get in the robot when Nimbus Infinity reaches full synchronization on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 15th, 2022.

Project Buramato

Next, we have the high fantasy Project Buramato by Ozysoft. This fast-paced, Semi-open world 3D action-adventure game takes place in an effervescent world that is based on Bornean folktales, and features various different mythical creatures from those folktales. Traverse ancient lands in third person as you engage in magic-focused shooting gameplay, and absorb the power of the dark curse, using it to your own advantage. The story here is open to interpretation and weaves in deep lore. Experience the magic of Bornean folk history when Project Buramato arrives on PC between 2022 and 2023.

Pokemon Legends Arceus
