Sometimes, players over 18 years of age are locked out of their accounts. This is a common error where the system deems the account to be below the age requirements. You can fix the issue across all platforms with a few quick steps. Here are the steps to do so.

Clear the cache before making any changes.

Open the game and click on Connect in the bottom section of the screen.

Enter your age and email address.

Log out of your Xbox account and remove it from the console.

Clear the cache before making any changes.

Perform a power cycle on your console.

Change the birthday on your account to an appropriate date.

Sign into your account and try to log in to NBA 2K23.

HOW TO CLEAR CACHE ON XBOX, PS, AND PC

XBOX

Hold down the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds until it turns off.

Unplug the electricity socket once the device is completely turned off. Give it a minute before reconnecting the power supply.

Watch out for the white light on the console. If you’re on Xbox One, wait for the light to turn orange before turning the console back on.

If you’re using Xbox One Series X|S, simply wait a minute before turning it back on.

If clearing the cache did not work, reset the device. To do so, press the Xbox button and go to System > Console Info > Reset Console.

PlayStation

Switch off your Playstation.

Once the console is completely turned off, hold down the power button until you hear the second beep. The first beep happens as soon as you press it. Hold the button for 4-5 seconds for the second one.

Once you’re in Safe Mode, connect the controller to your console and press the PS button.

Navigate down to the Clear cache and Rebuild Database and choose Clear System Software Cache once inside.

PC

Launch the Steam client.

Click on Steam in the top left corner of the screen. If you can’t see it, exit Family View.

Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache > Ok.
