How to do Skip Passes in NBA 2K23

Knowing how and when to pass can win you games. The first guy you think is open isn’t always the best guy to pass to. You should limit the options of your opponent by surveying the immediate surroundings of your teammate. This guide discusses how you can skip pass effectively.

Keep in mind, simply passing the ball won’t win you games. You also have to learn how to shoot, dribble, and even fake passes to keep the defenders guessing. We have several NBA 2K23 guides that can help you improve your game.

HOW TO SKIP PASS IN NBA 2K23

  • Aim the left stick towards your target and press down X or A (Xbox) / Square or X (PlayStation) on your controller.

  • In a skip pass, you do not have to bring up all the icons in order to hit the correct button in time. All you have to do is hold the pass button and aim the left stick towards the guy you want to pass the ball to.

  • It doesn’t matter if your target is guarded by a nearby player. Since it’s a skip pass, the ball will go straight to the corner.

  • If your player is not strong enough to throw the ball far off to the corner, you should refrain from using the skip pass.

  • If you want to switch off skip pass because you don’t use it often, simply go to Features > Options > Controller Settings > Skip Pass > Disable.
