Dominions 6: Legendary Spells - Magic Game World

Dominions 6: Legendary Spells

Dominions 6: Legendary Spells

In Dominions 6, reaching level 9 in the magic schools (but not construction, that’s different), you enter the world of legendary spells… This is a big moment in the game: you get to choose one powerful spell to research first, & yes, you can tackle the others later, but just remember, it’s quite a resource & time investment since you can only work on them one at a time.

Legendary Spells

So whatโ€™s special about these legendary spells? They’re either super powerful or they give you more value compared to the lower-level ones… Let’s dive into each path & check out their banishment spells & their cool effects:

  • Fire has “Ashes to Ashes” โ€“ this spell brings burning as an additional effect, great for extra damage.

  • Air features “Wind of Memories” โ€“ itโ€™s all about a longer reach & a larger area of effect, though with a bit less damage.

  • Water’s got “Purifying Water” โ€“ it ups the area of effect & dials down the damage just a bit. Also, itโ€™s got this secondary effect that does extra damage to those without armor.

  • Earth features “Pull from the Grave” โ€“ it adds Earth Grip as a secondary effect, which is pretty neat.

  • Astralโ€™s “Stellar Decree” โ€“ enhances range & area but with a slight reduction in damage… Its unique aspect? Stuns undead who still have their mental faculties.

  • Death presents “Decree of the Underworld” โ€“ its special feature is causing confusion among the undead who retain their minds.

  • Nature brings “Final Rest” โ€“ has a smaller area of effect & is easier to resist, but if it hits, itโ€™s extremely lethal.

  • Glamour with “Return of the Past” โ€“ increases range & area, reduces damage a bit, but adds extra damage against non-mindless undead.

  • Blood, interestingly, doesnโ€™t have a Banishment spell, making it unique among the paths.
