Grimoire : Heralds of the Winged Exemplar – Spirit Caves
1. Voice that says “Plugh”.
2, Guano Odor. Forced battle against a Giant Bat, sometimes accompanied a few groups of Black Bats, but not always.
3. Skeleton with Ivory Scrollcase. You can pick up the Scrollcase from the ground (the single brown square to the right of your inventory). As the name implies, you can right-click the Ivory Scrollcase to store up to 16 Scrolls.
4. Ghost. It’s a ghost type enemy, so straight physical attacks are not going to hurt it. Use magic to damage it. You can still control it with some status effects, such as Sleep, Charm, Fear, and Confusion, and can damage it with Mindflay, but it is immune to the Insanity effect. It casts magic that can one shot low HP characters, so if you have Little Rosy (or someone else high enough for the spell) try and have Magic Screen up before you start the battle. If you can land Charm quickly enough that will put a stop to its attacks.
5. Banshee. It’s a ghost type enemy, so straight physical attacks are not going to hurt it. Use magic to damage it. You can still control it with some status effects, such as Sleep, Charm, Fear, and Confusion, and can damage it with Mindflay, but it is immune to the Insanity effect. It can do a lot of damage across your entire party with its Wail, which will probably take out a few characters if you are trying this at level 1. You cannot stop the Wail with Charm. If you recruited Little Rosy and Raghilda they are usually fast enough to cheese the fight. Have Little Rosy cast Magic Missle (she usually acts first), Raghilda cast Sleep (she usually acts second), and everyone else try to Hide to keep them from waking it up. The recruits should act first, so you can lock down the Banshee before it can act.
6. Toxic Water. Any character that drinks this will be poisoned.
