Starfield - How to Steal Spaceships

So you’ve been cruisin’ around in Starfield and you’re thinkin’, Man why buy when I can just grab one of those sweet rides floating around?? You’re in luck!! I’m gonna break it down for you – how to jack spaceships and be the baddest space pirate in the galaxy. Strap in, here we go!!

Picking Your Prize

Before anything else, you’ve gotta set your sights on a target. Now not every spaceship’s a walk in the park. Scan around, find a ship that suits your style, and get a feel for whether it’s within your skill set to snatch.

Soft Takedown

Now here’s the game plan: you gotta disable your target, but without totally wrecking it. Engage it in combat and use those nifty targeted lock-ons to focus on its engines. But ease up on the firepower – the idea is to disable not destroy…

Get On Board

With your target incapacitated, it’s time to hop on. Be vigilant as you board; you might encounter some resistance from the ship’s crew. A little persuasion might be needed to have them see things your way.

Seize Control

Head straight to the cockpit and claim your captain’s seat. But a heads-up: if the ship is a grade B or C, and you haven’t buffed up your piloting skills, you might hit a snag. So always be leveling up when you get the chance.

Leave No Ship Behind

Now, if you’re soaring the cosmos in your new ship & wondering about your previous ride, no worries. It’ll automatically join your fleet. Pretty convenient, right?

Stamp of Ownership

Alright, last step. Fly over to the nearest spaceport & get that ship registered. Yes it’ll cost you some credits but think of the upside: you just snagged a ship!! And with it registered, you can customize it or even sell it off if that’s your jam.

Pro Tips

Loot Galore: Registering isn’t free, but you can offset that cost. Rummage through the ship, check the cargo, and raid any lockers – you might score some valuable stuff.

Low-key Heists: Sometimes, there are ships just chilling on planets. If you’re sneaky enough, you can simply hop aboard and make it yours. Just be ready to handle any on-ground crew.

Your Fleet is Safe: No matter how many ships you grab, they’re all safely stored and waiting for you at the spaceports. So no sweat about losing any of them…
