Is it possible to play with friends in Ranked Mode?

You can play with your friends in ranked mode! Up until Gold, you can queue with up to five friends. If anyone in the group is Platinum or above, you can queue with three friends. There’s a limit on which ranks are allowed to play with each other, which Riot has made a handy graphic to explain:

Basically what this graphic means is that if you’re in Iron, Bronze, or Silver, you can play with players in those ranks and all the way up to Gold. If you’re in Gold, you can play with players all the way up to Platinum. If you’re in Platinum you can play with players in Gold, Platinum, or Diamond. If you’re in Diamond, you can play with anyone Platinum rank or higher. And if you’re in Masters, Grandmasters, or Challenger, you can play with anyone in those ranks, or in Diamond.
