Pax Dei PC Keyboard Controls and Shortcuts Guide

Before you can build your home and craft epic stories in a world of magic and ghosts, you’ll need to master the ancient art of… pressing the right buttons in Pax Dei.

General

Settings Menu: Press ESC > Settings to open the Settings menu (controls menu to customize your key bindings).

Main Menu: Press TAB to access the General menu, which includes Inventory, Equipment, Craft (on self), Skills, Clan, and Map.

Close Window/Exit Menu: Press ESC to close the current window or open the Exit menu.

Movements commands

Move: W,A,S,D.

Sprint: Hold L-Shift to sprint (consumes stamina).

Jump: Press the Spacebar.

Chat commands

Chatting commands: Press Enter to access the general chat (Nearby). Use the icons on the left to switch between channels (General, Clan, Party, Nearby, Direct Message), or select a channel from the dropdown menu above the text input area.

Discord Integration

Link Discord Account:

Press Enter to open the chat interface.

Navigate to Settings in the chat window.

Select Sign in with Discord to link your account.

Combat

Attack: Left click to perform a basic attack.

Block: Right click to block incoming attacks.

Special Abilities: Press CTRL+left click and CTRL+right click to use a weapon or shield special abilities (which are automatically assigned when a weapon is equipped).

Cycle Targets: Press Q or E to switch between targets.

Spells: Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, Ctrl+3, Ctrl+4, Ctrl+5.

Assign a spell: Right click on spell slot.

Filter recipes on crafting stations

Filter by Name: Type n: [RecipeName] to filter recipes by name.

Filter by Ingredient: Type i: [IngredientName] to filter recipes by ingredient.

Combine Filters: Use n: [RecipeName] i: [IngredientName] to apply both filters simultaneously.

Plot and Building mode

Open Building Menu: With the Hammer equipped, right-click to open the building menu.

Adjust Placement:

Move pieces up or down using ALT + Mouse Wheel.

Rotate using the Mouse Wheel.

Hold Shift to move pieces freely without snapping to the grid.

Destroy a piece by pressing the Mouse Wheel.

The control wheels

Emote Wheel: Hold B to open the emote wheel.

Teleport Wheel: Press T to open the teleport wheel, allowing you to:

Teleport to the nearest Ancient Stela (spawn stone).

Summon your corpse (requires proximity on the X and Y axis).

Summon party members’ corpses (with the same proximity rules).

Map

Open Map: Press M or access it via the General menu.

Place Markers/Waypoints: Use the commands displayed at the bottom of the map interface.

Guiding Wind: After placing a waypoint, press G to activate the Guiding Wind, which indicates the direction to your waypoint.

Parties

Joining a Party:

Press TAB and navigate to the Party interface, or press P.

Accept invitations from other players (check your notifications with N) or target a player, scroll to the option to invite to a party, and press F.

Leaving a Party:

Press TAB and navigate to the Party interface, or press P.
