TEKKEN 7 Achievement Guide

Details for every single Achievement.

Introduction

Tekken 7 features 5 simple online Achievements (which are boostable). The other 38 Achievements can be done offline and are straightforward. Please note that the Warrior Rank can be done offline in Treasure Battle. You don’t have to play online for the ranks. Treasure Battle is also an offline mode and has many Achievements tied to it. Even if fighting games aren’t your thing you’ll find the Tekken 7 Achievements to be unchallenging. Treasure Mode does increase in difficulty as you rank up but the CPU is very bad at countering certain moves, so they can be spammed over and over again (see “Hot-Blooded Fighter” for more info on that). Obtaining warrior rank is where most of your time is going to go. The story and character episodes are extremely short and the combat Achievements can quickly be farmed in practice mode.

Obtaining warrior rank is where most of your time is going to go. The story and character episodes are extremely short and the combat Achievements can quickly be farmed in practice mode.

Step 1: Main Story

Beat all 14 Story Chapters. This will then unlock an additional “Special Chapter”. It can be selected in story mode, where you also select story chapters. Complete the Special Chapter for the Achievement “Master Of Iron Fist”. Completing the story takes ~2 hours if you watch all cutscenes and ~40 minutes if you skip all cinematics. If you want to save the time put the difficulty on easy.

Step 2: Character Episodes

After finishing the main story you have access to all Character Episodes. There are 28 of them in total but you only need to complete 10 to earn 2 Achievements. Each character episode consists of one single fight and a cutscene. They are very quick to do, 15 minutes for 10 of them.

Step 3: Treasure Battle

Your main goal here is to reach Warrior Rank, which is the 12th Dan. How all of that works is explained in the Achievement description for “Hot-Blooded Fighter”.

There are 10 Achievements tied to Treasure Battle. This is an offline mode and doesn’t require internet. Two of these achievements are slightly random. You must defeat Akuma & Devil Kazumi in Special Treasure Battle Matches OR Arcade Ladder. Special matches pop up randomly when you’re on a win streak. There’s no way to influence what opponent you’re gonna get. Just keep Akuma and Devil Kazumi in mind. If there’s ever a special event with one of them popping up make sure you win it! No worries if you don’t encounter them. You can also get them in Arcade Mode where they have a much higher spawn rate.

You need to win roughly 70-80 matches with one character to reach warrior rank (~3 hours). If you lose a lot it will take longer. All matches in treasure battle consist of two rounds. Your rank is character-bound, not profile-wide. If you level up one character the others will still be at zero progress. You’ll have to stick to one character for the duration of this mode.

Optional Step: Arcade Mode

If you weren’t lucky enough to get a special match with Akuma or Devil Kazumi in treasure battle you can do it in arcade mode where they have a much higher chance to spawn. Arcade has 5 matches. In the game options, you can set the matches to 1 round (this is much quicker). At the end of the arcade ladder, you will get a random special match where you can encounter Akuma or Devil Kazumi. This is a far more reliable way than trying to find them in a treasure battle.

Step 4: Miscellaneous Combat Achievements

Most combat-related Achievements will unlock throughout the story and treasure battle. So by this point, you’ll have gotten most of them without trying. Go through your Achievement list and check which ones are still missing. Refer to the Achievement guide to quickly mop up those Achievements in Practice Mode. Most Achievements are disabled in local versus, but they can all be obtained in practice mode against a training dummy who doesn’t move. In practice, you can also enable things like infinite rage or let the CPU attack you to counter their rage arts.

This step will be very quick. It’s only going to take 10-15 minutes or so to knock out the missing combat Achievements.

Step 5: Online

The online Achievements are very easy. Win one ranked match, one player match, one tournament match, and play 10 matches total. For player- and tournament matches, you can create private lobbies. It’s really not necessary to boost these but it’s possible. Ranked Matches can also be boosted, either through the Match List or go into Warm-Up mode and wait until you randomly get paired up with your boosting partner. This concludes the Tekken 7 Achievement hunt.

Yeah! I Did It!

Won a ranked match online.

From the Main Menu go to Online > Ranked.

You have two options. Either select “Warm Up” which will try to pair you up with random opponents but you can always choose to accept/deny the match with them. Or you go to match lists where you can directly challenge other players.

Not Bad

Won a player match online.

From the Main Menu go to Online > Player Match.

You can fight against random people or create a private session and invite a friend to boost it with you. Making a private invite-only session is also great for boosting the 10 online battles.

Okay! I’m Ready!

Won a battle in an online tournament.

From the Main Menu go to Online > Tournaments.

Those are contests with semifinals and finals. Two people always get paired up and the winner moves on to the next round until only one person is left. Luckily, you don’t have to win a whole tournament, just one single match of it. Before the tournament you can see everyone’s rank. If there are too many high-level people in your tournament leave and look for a different one.

You can also create a tournament yourself and have friends join you to help boost this. It’s possible to make invite-only tournaments but they require 4 players to start.

Come And Get Some, I Dare You!

Fought ten online battles.

Just play (don’t have to win) any 10 online battles from any mode. It does not matter if you win or lose; just make it through the entire match.

Instant Annihilation

Won three times consecutively in Treasure Battle.

This is extremely easy and should come naturally on your way to Warrior rank. Basically, when you play Treasure Battle with a character for the first time all the enemies will be super easy and just stand around, not blocking any of your attacks. So it’s very easy to win the first 3 matches because those enemies are the weakest.

Wow, I’m Pretty Strong!

Won three special matches in Treasure Battle.

Special Matches pop up randomly in Treasure Battle. They are more likely to show up when you’re on a long win streak. You can expect a special match every 10 wins or so. Just win any 3 of them. This is very likely to happen on your path to Warrior rank.

You Think You’re Tougher Than Me?

It’s Time For You To Meet Your End!

Watched the epilogue of the main story.

From the main menu select Story Mode and beat all chapters on any difficulty. This will unlock a total of 5 Story Achievements.

You can select easy difficulty at the start of the story. Difficulty can be changed anytime when losing a match. It’s not hard at all and you can just spam the same easy moves over and over again.

I Demand To Know The Truth!

Finished three Character Episode stories.

See Achievement “Lightning Of Fate”.

Lightning Of Fate

Finished 10 Character Episode stories.

First, you must complete a full story playthrough. This will then unlock a new mode “Character Episodes”. They are very short, you just need to finish one match with 10 fighters in this mode.

No Pain, No Gain

Dealt 50,000 damage in Practice mode.

From the Main Menu go to Offline > Practice.

Now deal 50,000 damage. It counts across multiple sessions but the tracking may be a bit off. I had done a lot of practice and for me it popped when I had dealt 48,000 damage in a single session. It’s highly advisable that you do 50,000 in one single session to avoid tracking problems.

Cool!

Obtained 20 treasure boxes.

See Achievement “I’ve Finally Found You!”.

I’ve Finally Found You!

Obtained 50 treasure boxes.

This Achievement unlocks automatically on your path to Warrior rank if you keep playing in “Treasure Battle” mode (Offline).

Each Treasure Battle win gives at least one box drop. Perfect wins and long win streaks can earn you more drops per match. Winning 50 Treasure Battle matches will unlock this Achievement.

To reach Warrior rank you need to win 70+ matches, so you are guaranteed to get well over 70 boxes along the way.

The Prosperous Inevitably Decline

Beat Akuma in an Arcade Battle or a Special Match in Treasure Battle.

You can earn this Achievement in either Arcade Mode or Treasure Battle.

In treasure battle, it’s very random when a special event triggers (depends on your win streak, usually every 10 wins or so). The more reliable option is to do it in arcade mode. It consists of only 5 stages. In the game options you can set the matches to 1 round to speed things up. After the fifth stage, there’s a chance you get to fight Akuma or Devil Kazumi. Do a few arcade runs and you’ll get it.

Fear My Wrath

Don’t Take It Personally

Achieved a perfect victory. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

A perfect victory is when you win without losing damage. The AI in the starting stages of Treasure Battle Mode is really bad. You can simply spam punches on them and they’ll just stand there and do nothing. There’s a very good chance this will come naturally. It can also be boosted online in a private player match.

You Fought Well

Achieved a great victory. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

A great victory is when you have very little health left and defeat the opponent. It’s almost certainly going to unlock in Treasure Battle Mode while going for Warrior Rank. When your health is low you can use Rage Arts to turn the tide and deal massive damage to your opponent. Alternatively, it can be boosted in a private online player match.

There’s Nowhere To Run. Give Up!

Dealt 10 homing attacks. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

This will be one of your first Achievements and unlock automatically as you play through the story. Basically, Homing attacks always hit your enemy when they try to evade it. On the move list, they are marked via a blue icon with a white circle in it. Every character has them, you’ll do 10 of them without even knowing in the first few minutes of gameplay.

I’ll Kick Your Butt To Hell And Back

Dealt 70+ damage in an air combo. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

This Achievement sounds more complicated than really it is. In fact, it’s probably going to be one of your first Achievements and pretty much unmissable during the story.

Make sure you’re on easy difficulty (deals more damage), push an enemy to the wall, and spam L1+Square with Kazuya. The Jack-4’s take more damage than normal enemies. Alternatively, you can do a raging art on an opponent that you are juggling in the air. Rage Arts deal well over 70 damage and you can do it in practice mode.

Just Relax, You Can Do It

Performed three 10 hit combos. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

You can repeat the same combo of the same character 3 times in a practice session.

(This can be done in Practice Mode)

Elegance At Its Purest

Triggered 10 screws. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

This will be one of your first Achievements and will unlock without trying. Screws happen when you hit an enemy with a powerful attack and they spin in the air. These moves are marked on the move list by a green icon and every character has them.

Power Is Everything!

Dealt 10 power crushes. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Another easy combat Achievement that will come naturally. Power Crushes are marked by a red icon on the move list, every character has them. They absorb mid and high attacks. Don’t worry about this Achievement, it will unlock without trying.

Overdrive!

Dealt 10 Rage Drives. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Rage Drives are found at the top of every character’s move list (just below the Rage Art combo). To perform them you need to be in rage mode (red flames around your character). You go into rage mode when your health is very low.

The fastest way to get it is in Practice Mode. Turn on Rage in the Settings (during practice match press options-button > other settings > player rage = on). Now repeat the same rage drive 10 times in a row and the Achievement will unlock.

We Settle This Now!

Dealt 20 Rage Arts. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

Rage Arts are triggered by pressing R1 while you are in rage mode (red flames around your character). Each fighter has one rage art.

The fastest way to get it is in Practice Mode. Turn on Rage in the Settings (during practice match press options-button > other settings > player rage = on). Now repeat the same rage art 20 times in a row and the Achievement will unlock.

Stun Gun!

Snatched victory from the jaws of defeat 5 times with Rage Art. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

When your health gets low you enter rage mode (red flames around your character). When you are close to being defeated activate your rage art (press R1) to finish off the opponent. The rage art takes away roughly 35% of the opponent’s health bar. Bring down their health bar as much as you can, let them hurt you on purpose, then trigger the rage art to win the round. Repeat 5 times for the Achievement to unlock.

This Should Be Fun

Got promoted to 1st dan.

See Achievement“Hot-Blooded Fighter”.

Your Technique Is Impressive

Got promoted to Initiate.

See Achievement“Hot-Blooded Fighter”.

Roar! (Nice Moves!)

Got promoted to Brawler.

See Achievement“Hot-Blooded Fighter”.

Hot-Blooded Fighter

Got promoted to Warrior.

For this, you must reach 12th Dan with one single character. The Dans are character-specific (tied to one character only). So if you reach 1st Dan with one char, only he/she will be on that rank. Everyone else will still be on Beginner rank and would have to be leveled up separately.

The fastest way to get this is in Treasure Battle Mode (Offline). You don’t need to play online for this! In Treasure Battle, you face CPU opponents with increasing ranks. As you level up you will encounter opponents with higher ranks and their difficulty increases. They start doing longer combos, block more, etc.

Up to Day 12, it’s really quite doable. Even if fighting games aren’t your thing there are some combo exploits the CPU can’t counter. One such combo is Kazuya’s attack “Roundhouse to Triple Spin Kick” (Move 46 in his move list). To use it, hold D-Pad Up+Right, Circle, Circle, Circle, Circle. It will hit different body parts so it’s hard to counter. Just keep spamming this move and you’ll get through most matches with ease (credit to 94mav98 for this tactic). When the opponent falls to the ground wait for them to stand up and immediately launch the next attack. If timed correctly the enemy won’t get a chance to attack.

Reaching 12th Dan (Warrior) takes about 70 wins (if you don’t lose too many matches) and maybe 2-3 hours.

The way the ranking system works is that you start with Kyus. Each win boosts your Kyu rank. Once you reach 1st Dan things change. You must win a few matches in a row (usually 3-5 wins) to get a “Promotion Match”. Only if you win the promotion you go to the next Dan. If you lose you have to win a few matches again to get another chance. So try your best not to lose those Promotion Matches.

Anger Of The Beast

Dealt an overall total of 1,000 damage while in rage mode. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

The fastest way to get it is in Practice Mode. Turn on Rage in the Settings (during practice match press options-button > other settings > player rage = on). Now deal 1000 damage with whatever attacks you want. Rage art stays on permanently in practice mode.

Sturdy And Indestructible

Blocked 5 Rage Arts. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

This Achievement is best done in practice mode. You need to switch around some settings to make it work.

During a practice match do the following: press Options-Button > Action Settings > CPU Opponent Action 1 = CPU > CPU Difficulty = Ultra Hard > Other Settings (press R1 to switch tab) > Opponent Rage = On.

Now the CPU has infinite rage and will keep bombarding you with attacks. Hold D-pad Left to block rage arts.

Don’t Hold Anything Back

Defeated 20 opponents of a higher rank.

This is only possible in Treasure Battle Mode (Offline).

The opponents in this mode have a rank system. After reaching 1st Dan you will frequently encounter opponents with a higher rank than your own. This Achievement is very likely to unlock on the path to Warrior rank. If not, just keep playing for a little while longer. After Warrior about half the opponents, you encounter will have a rank higher than your own. The rank is displayed below the health bar.

Destructive Drive

Performed a floor-breaking move. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

See Achievement “Going Somewhere?”

Crushing Impact!

Performed a balcony-breaking move. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

See Achievement “Going Somewhere?”

Going Somewhere?

Reached the bottom floor of the Forgotten Realm stage. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

You can do this in practice mode. Pick the character “Alisa” and map “Forgotten Realm”.

Now simply do a throw with Triangle + Circle (PS4) / Y+B (XB1) to smash through the floor. Doing it once unlocks “Destructive Drive”. Doing it 3 times brings you to the bottom floor and unlocks “Going Somewhere?”.

Please Don’t Tell My Father

Reached the deepest part of the Jungle Outpost stage. (Excluding offline VS Battle)

You can do this in practice mode. Pick the character “Alisa” and map “Jungle Outpost”.

There’s a balcony in the starting area. Push to opponent to the balcony and press Left + X (PS4) / Left + A (XB1). “Crushing Impact!” UNLOCKED.

You will fall to the floor below. Now repeat the same move on the vines at the side of the arena. It will destroy them and open a new path. “Please Don’t Tell My Father” UNLOCKED.

It’s Just Business

Obtained an overall total of 5,000,000G.

See Achievement “Excellent”.

Excellent

Obtained an overall total of 10,000,000G.

You earn money very quickly in Treasure Battle (Offline). You get 30,000 – 60,000G per match.

Online wins give even more (~200,000 for a ranked win) and you get lots of money for completing the story, arcade, and online match types for the first time. This goes hand in hand with the “Hot-Blooded Fighter” Achievement for reaching Warrior rank. On your way to Warrior, you will earn enough money. For better tracking, it’s recommended that you don’t spend any of your money. Don’t worry too much about it, just focus on all other Achievements and you’ll get this along the way.

Master Of Iron Fist

Finished the Special Chapter of the main story.

The Special Chapter unlocks after clearing all main story missions. It then becomes available in Story Mode, where you select the individual Story Chapters.

Here you will fight against Akuma and it’s a pretty tough fight even on the lowest difficulty. He’ll block most of your attacks, teleport a lot and shoot at you from afar.

One easy strategy is to spam L1+X (PS4) / LB+A (XB1) all the time. This move gets you close to Akuma and lets you jump over projectiles. By spamming just this move you’ll have about a 50% success rate on the lowest difficulty. It doesn’t work every time but doesn’t require any skill either. After draining Akuma’s health bar keep pressing R1 very quickly to activate your rage art. Otherwise, Akuma will instantly kill you.
