Door in the Woods
Door in the Woods is a wild trip into an alternate reality where graphics and sensible game design took a hard left and never showed up. This open-world roguelike is heavily inspired by Lovecraftian horror and throws you into a nightmare universe where every apocalypse you can imagine has happened—zombie plagues, alien invasions, and ancient gods waking up from a really bad nap.
You play as one of the last survivors trying to wrap your head around a world where even basic physics likes to break the rules. Surviving isn’t just about scavenging food or dodging zombies; it’s about keeping your sanity intact—because sometimes, the better option is, well… not to keep going.
Features include:
Absolutely no graphics (or maybe just very questionable ones)
A haunting open world with a minimal color palette
Creepy day/night cycles and almost no sound (seriously, good luck!)
Crafting stuff to stay alive (or die trying)
And, of course, some truly questionable design choices that somehow work
What can you do?
Drink dirty puddle water and pay the price
Hide in bushes while zombies look right past you
Battle cannibals and then feast on them (because survival)
Commit suicide (when it all gets too much)
Find the mysterious door in the woods… if you dare
