Death Stranding
The Death Stranding series is what happens when Hideo Kojima gets full creative freedom—and we’re honestly here for the chaos. It’s a blend of sci-fi, existential dread, and… package delivery. Yeah, really.
The first game drops you into a post-apocalyptic America as Sam Porter Bridges (played by Norman Reedus), a guy with a haunted past and a baby in a jar. Your job? Rebuild the world one delivery at a time, while dodging ghost monsters (BTs), rogue couriers, and time-rain that ages everything it touches. It’s part walking simulator, part action, part “what did I just play?”—with a deep message about connection and isolation.
And now there’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach coming, promising even more weirdness, returning characters, and a whole new layer of sci-fi madness. Expect more BBs, more drama, and probably a lot more walking (but, like… meaningful walking).
If you like games that are emotional, cinematic, and unapologetically Kojima, Death Stranding is your jam. Just don’t forget to balance your cargo.
