Stellaris: Apocalypse is a sprawling grand strategy game where your empire’s progress, fleets, and planets are all saved locally. Knowing where these files live makes backing up or transferring your saves a breeze.

 

 

Windows – Save File Location

Your Stellaris saves on Windows can be found here:

 

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris

 

 

Linux – Save File Location

If you’re playing on Linux, your save files are stored at:

 

$XDG_DATA_HOME/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris

Tip: Make a backup of this folder before reinstalling the game or switching machines. That way, all your galactic conquests, alliances, and battles stay safe.
