There are several ways to pass the ball to another player. A good player can usually predict the opponent’s movements and use a pass that they will least expect in that situation. However, even the best pass can be intercepted by experienced defenders, and that’s where the flashy pass comes in. Let’s take a deeper dive into it.

HOW TO DO A FLASHY PASS?

To do a flashy pass, double tap the Circle or B key on your respective controller and use the Left Stick to choose the teammate you want to pass the ball to.

Flashy passes are unpredictable. They have a higher travel time compared to normal passes. But the unnatural movements that precede the pass are enough to confuse even the most experienced players on the field.

Normal passes have a higher chance of having a good quality receive animation.

You should only use flashy passes for short distances. Due to the unconventional movements of the flashy pass, the pass itself packs a punch. The receiver might find it difficult to catch the ball. The opponent might steal the ball if your teammate stumbles even for a moment.

You should also equip the Special Delivery badge as it increases the shot chance of the receivers after a flashy pass.

There are several types of passes you can resort to instead of the flashy, such as the dribble handoff pass, skip pass, and the bounce pass. Each one has its own advantages, and learning how to execute them efficiently will make you a better player in NBA 2K23.
