Monster Prom 4: All Mystery Box Figurines & Their Effects Explained (Full Guide)

Monster Prom 4

In Monster Prom 4: Monster Con, as you navigate the convention and its absurd circumstances, or attempt to romance a hunky monster (or Liam), you’ll have one opportunity per game (except in short games) to visit Yi Feng’s Mystery Box Shop. Selecting a random figurine there can completely alter your playthrough… for better or worse!! So here’s what you might find:

Figurine Types & What They Do:

1. Dull Daniel Does Nothing

  • Yeah, these guys are duds. They don’t change squat.

  • Dull Daniel Is Just There: Zero effect.

  • Dull Daniel Lying Face Down on the Floor: Still nothing.

  • Dull Daniel Pondering How Nothing He Does Matters: You guessed it, no effect.

  • Dull Daniel Staring into the Depths of Your Soul: Nope, nothing here either.

2. Stats. But Now They’re People

  • Charming Charlotte: +4 to every stat. Nice!

  • No Fun Freddy: -2 to every stat. Ouch.

  • Money Montgomery: Doubles any stats you gain or lose from events. High risk, high reward!

  • Creative Craig: +2 to every stat. Solid.

  • No Smarts Smith: Slaps all your stats with a -4. Rough.

  • Bold Bertha: Maxes out all your stats at 99. Sweet!

3. Zodiac Thirst: Cosmic Office

  • Aquarius, Head of R&D: Scrambles all your stats. RNGesus take the wheel!

  • Aries, Product Designer: Nukes your best stat down to 0 (or as low as it goes). Then it averages out your other stats and sets ’em all to that.

  • Leo, Office Manager: Hides all your stat numbers for the rest of the game. (You still gain/lose ’em, you just can’t see ’em. Good luck!)

  • Libra, Head of Client Relations: Evens out all your stats to the average.

  • Capricorn, Project Manager: Pinches 1 point from each stat from all other players, and you get the loot. (Multi-player only, you sly dog).

  • Scorpio, Risk Analyst: Randomly yoinks another player’s entire stat sheet and gives ’em yours. (Multi-player only. Mayhem!)

4. Buff Bugs

  • The Combat-Ant: Everyone gains or loses stats every time someone makes a choice. (Multi-player only).

  • The Death Moth: For the rest of the game, once a turn starts, you’ll bleed 1 point from every stat per second until you pick a spot. (Yep, even at the Food Court).

  • The Battle Beetle: For the rest of the game, once a turn starts, your stats flip-flop (invert) every second until you pick a spot. (Food Court too!).

  • Kate-rpillar: Every other turn kicks off with your stats getting scrambled. You can’t pick a spot ’til it’s done. (This party happens at the Food Court as well.)

5. Landmarks in Love

  • Classy Colosseum: One spot now makes you roll a die to see how many stat points you snag when you visit. (It’s not marked, but you’ll see a dice roll. Same spot all game).

  • El Castillo Carinoso: One spot now scores you TRIPLE stat points, but what stat you get is totally random. (Look for the “x3” bubble. Same spot all game).

  • Gorgeous Great Wall of China: No spots give out stats anymore. Period. (All spots get a “No Stats” bubble).

  • Sensual Sydney Opera House: One spot dishes out double stat points. (Marked with “x2” bubble. Same spot, all game).

  • Sexy Sagrada Familia: One area gets “trashed” and you can’t use it. (It looks wrecked. You can go there, but you get zilch – no stats, no event. Basically, turn skipped).

6. My Weird Little Village

  • Deer Girl: All Main Characters get decked out in furry gear. (Specific events might change ’em back temporarily).

  • Cebollita Cabrona: All Main Characters rock maid outfits. (Again, some events might override the look).

  • Fungible Fungus: Swaps everyone’s outfits to these specific looks: Sad Clown April, Jello Doug, Nosferatu Liam, Iron Maiden Omen, Chest Mimic Nico, Dakimakura Zoe.

  • Little Acorn: Your character gets a makeover. (You’re PomPom now!).

  • Scribble Shroom: Changes the art style for all Main Characters. (Everything looks like a crayon drawing).

  • Bleeding Tooth Fungus: For the rest of the game, when your turn starts, you gotta take a dump. (Note: When you try to go somewhere, you make a beeline for the Hotel for a bio break. No stats or event for you that turn)

7. Major Arcana: No Mercy

  • The Emperor: All sound effects?? Now they’re duck quacks. Quack.

  • The High Priestess: Adds extra sound effects; like an audience reacting to stuff.

  • The Moon: All sound effects become fart noises. Yup.

  • The Star: New background music! The Pancake Song Remix on repeat.

  • The Strength: You’ll get random flashes of “subliminal” hot dog images. Don’t ask.
