How to Create a Team in NBA 2K23

There are two ways to create a team in NBA 2K23. You can either go to MyLeague and create a custom team, or you can go into Features and copy/edit pre-created rosters. This guide discusses both processes in detail, so let’s get started.

HOW TO CREATE A CUSTOM TEAM IN NBA 2K23

Launch the game and go into the MyLeague menu and select MyLeague.

There are three options to choose from.

Current NBA Teams – Lets you pick one of 30 current NBA teams.

League Expansion – The league contains 30 current NBA teams and up to 6 expansion teams.

Custom League – Create a league of 36 teams. You can select from current NBA teams, new expansion teams, and historic NBA teams.

Select the season you want to play in and add the expansion teams (if you selected that option).

Select how you want to build the expansion team. You can either create your own, use a pre-built team or download a template/roster that other players have already created.

Select a home city for your team, then customize your brand, arena, and finally your uniform. There are a lot of things to do here, so if you’re looking for a more customized experience, consider going through all the settings to create your dream team(s).

You can also create custom logo images for your team once the feature is made available on the official NBA 2K23 website. Repeat the process for the rest of the expansion teams.

Once all the teams are ready, pick your team and you’re ready to play.

HOW TO CREATE A CUSTOM TEAM IN NBA 2K23 FROM TEMPLATES

Once again, launch the game and head over to the Features tab.

Under the roster tab select Create a Roster and select the Roster type.

Choose from among official 2K Rosters, user-created rosters and injury-free rosters.

Take a look at the players, select who you want to keep and replace the rest.

Finally, save the roster for the changes to take effect. You can also share it for other players to test your build.

Exit Features and go to PlayNow select the mode you want to play, and pick your team.

You can either pick a random team or select from a wide variety of rosters that you have created or have been created by the community.

You can also include custom characters in your team. They will be similar to other players, and you can add or remove them as you see fit.

WHICH TEAMS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN NBA 2K23

Los Angeles Clippers

Chicago Bulls

Brooklyn Nets

Minnesota Timberwolves

Washington Wizards
