Combat is intense, demanding quick thinking and the right gear. Scavenge to craft makeshift tools, and even use the island’s creatures to your benefit—believe it or not, you can wield a dinosaur as a weapon!

 

But before you rush into this wild place, you should learn the basics: how to sprint, reload, and avoid blowing yourself up with a grenade when you meant to look at your map. So here’s a quick guide to the default controls to help you get started on the right foot:

 

 

Movement & Interaction

  • W / A / S / D – Move

 

  • Mouse – Look around

 

  • Left Shift – Sprint / Hold breath

 

  • Space – Jump / Climb

 

  • C – Crouch / Slide

 

  • Shift + C – Slide

 

  • F – Interact

 

  • Q – Heal

 

  • E – Use DPad command

 

  • I – Open inventory

 

  • T – Toggle flashlight

 

 

Weapons & Equipment

  • 1 – Primary weapon

 

  • 2 – Secondary weapon / Toggle akimbo

 

  • 3 – Throwables (grenades, spears)

 

  • 4 – Gadgets (map, DPad)

 

  • Hold 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 – Holster weapon

 

 

Combat

  • Left Mouse Button (LMB) – Fire weapon

 

  • Right Mouse Button (RMB) – Aim

 

  • RMB + Middle Mouse Button (MMB) – Toggle canted sights

 

  • MMB / V – Melee attack

 

  • R – Reload

 

  • Hold R – Inspect ammo

 

  • B – Change fire mode

 

  • J – Drop weapon
