Depersonalization: Weapon Types Explained

Depersonalization gives each weapon its own distinct character. You’ll find powerful ones speedy ones, and some that are just downright strange. Let’s take a look at your arsenal!

Weapon Types

  • Each weapon has one or more Weapon Types: Normal, Strength, Dexterity, Technique, Defense, Firearm

  • Normal weapons have average performance, but you can still increase their damage by entering [Attack Stance]

  • Strength weapons have better performance when used in [Attack Stance]. In addition, when equipping a Strength weapon in your main hand, [Cleave] and [Parry] become available

  • Dexterity weapons, when equipped in your main hand, enable [Dodge]. Also, when dealing damage to an enemy with a Dexterity weapon and with a Hard or higher success, you have a chance to immediately attack the enemy again

  • When attacking with a Technique weapon, you need to do an Erudition check. On success, this attack will not consume any durability of the weapon

  • Defense weapons, when equipped in your main hand, enable [Block]

  • Firearm weapons, when equipped in your main hand, enable [Rapid Fire] and [Rake]. In addition, if your Speed is higher than your enemy’s when attacking with the weapon, you get a bonus die for this attack
