Crafting and Using a Chest

Chests are used for storing extra weapons and items. However, be aware that other players can easily loot them. Crafting a chest takes some time, so you might want to build a [Shelter] first and place your chests inside or nearby.

Crafting Steps:

• Find or Craft an Axe: First, you’ll need an Axe. You can either find one or craft it.

• Gather Wooden Logs: Use your Axe to cut down a large tree* to get [Wooden Log]s. * Note: Logs from some small trees cannot be cut into planks.

• Make Wooden Planks: Cut the Logs into 8 [Wooden Planks].

• Get Rope: You’ll also need Rope. You can craft 2 [Tree Bark Rope]s from the Wooden Sticks that drop when you cut down trees.

• Craft the Chest: Finally, craft the [Wooden Box]*. * The [Wooden Box] will be placed in a random spot near you. It’s currently unclear if it can be moved after placement.

Using the Chest:

• To store items: Drag them from your inventory onto the Chest icon in the Vicinity panel.

• To retrieve items: Drag them from the Chest (within the Vicinity panel) to your inventory.
